What is Life Event Planning & Organizing?
Life Event Planning is a term used to describe certain events and time periods in one’s life that may lead to chaos, disorder and stress. Any of the Life Events listed can create an organizational challenge. Considered the most specialized service available, Michelle guides clients through those transitions.
What involvement does the client have?
The client is VERY involved in working with a Professional Organizer. As mentioned in “What does a Professional Organizer Do?” part of Michelle's job is to transfer skills to you so that you can apply them to particular situations. You will be working with her to help solve the challenge at hand and to provide guidance on your ultimate goals.
Will you help me get rid of stuff?
There is usually an aspect of organizing that does call for you to discard items as appropriate. Not only will Michelle help you make the sometimes difficult decision to “let go” of things, but she can also provide logistical assistance by coordinating charitable donations, garbage pickup, etc.
How do you charge for your services?
Michelle's first visit is a one-hour consultation intended to identify your goals, timing and any constraints. This consultation is a $50 flat fee.
Subsequent charges are on an hourly basis based on the complexity of the assignment. A written estimate of the scope of the assignment is provided after the initial consultation.
Any additional products or service are purchased by the client directly. Michelle can provide recommendations or referrals as needed.
